Vzájomný zahraničný obchod Českej republiky a Spolkovej republiky Nemecko
Lacušková, Zuzana
This diploma thesis deals with the characterization and evaluation of the development of foreign trade between the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany from 2001 to 2021. For the Czech Republic, Germany is the most important trading partner, with the share of exports from the Czech Republic to Germany in 2021 up to 31 %, the share of imports from Germany to the Czech Republic was 23,3 %. In this paper, the dependence of imports and exports of the Czech Republic on the variables GDP, REER, interest rate, GDP deflator and population is investigated using econometric methods. All models are constructed using the OLS method. The most important class of imports and exports, SITC 7, is also examined in the thesis. The automotive industry, on which the Czech economy depends, is included in the SITC 7 category. The work shows that foreign trade is also significantly influenced by technology. Therefore, companies such as Škoda Auto a. s. in particular should focus on continuously improving the technology in automobiles, while at the same time striving to continuously increase the production of electric cars or other more environmentally friendly cars.
